Why couldn't things ever work? Oh that's right...because they were stealing power from above. It seemed it could take them days before they could find another source of power to route to. Which placed her in her current situation, stuck in a tight corridor testing wires with a flashlight placed in her mouth. She grumbled all the while, sure she loved fixing things...always had but this was starting to be ridiculous. When was the last time she had been out from under all of this mess? Years, months? It was hard to tell when she found herself fixated on fixing some sort of thing. Days and months just seemed to run together. It was just a matter of time...
Crackle, snap, "Damnit!" Alessa cursed in pain as she recoiled from the sparking wire, her flashlight dropping to the ground. "Perfect..just..perfect." A sigh sounded from her with irritation. Bending her knees she reached for her flashlight, barely able to grasp it and bring it back to her teeth within the tight confines of the corridor. One more wire, and finally the power flickered back on, giving light to the rest of the 'world'. "That ought to fix it for now." She spoke to herself, she really needed to work on those generators..

Katan sighed at the remainder of the pile of junk that used to be his Gundam. At least it was going to a good cause.
"I'm getting to old to reminisce." He commented, almost as if he was talking to the Viper's faceplate--almost literally the only thing left of it, and even that was in pieces. Any day now, even this would be gone, for a new catwalk, or for a new layer of interior plating, or for guns for the Underground.
Sighing again, the former mobile suit pilot wandered over to a nearby hatch and yelled down it, "Alessa, sweety, you need any help down there?"

At least he still had a suit to reminisce with. She had nothing left of her own suit, well that wasn't true. She managed to save the second version of the zero system. Who knew when that would come in handy. She had risked too much to gain it in the first place after all.
She heard the words above her and smirked a little, her need help? Never. Well, she did have to admit that she was bad about asking for help, always had been. "Nah I got it. We ought to be good for another month or so." She replied as she started to scoot herself sideways down the path till she reached the hatch and glanced up to him with her usual smirk she got from a successful fixing project.

"In that case, we're going to need to make a salvage run somewhere, because all we have left of Viper is armor plating." Katan replied, reaching down a hand to help Alessa out of the access tunnels.

She grasped his hand holding on until she could plant her feet upon the metal floor. "Yea I suppose so. But what can we do? It'll be hard to find somewhere that OZ wont interfere in. The only thing I can think of is the scrap collectors from the old colonies. But I don't know how we could get supplies without someone getting shot down. Let alone how we could get them in the first place." She sighed a little and walked away from him, heading towards her generator plans. "So close.."

"So, what you're saying is, we need someone as crazy as we used to be." Katan replied, putting his arm around Alessa's shoulder. "Or maybe that we need to fire up the transport and be crazy again....if it even has enough parts to work as a cargo shuttle anymore."

She glanced to him and smirked, "Crazy? I've always been crazy, you're the one that went and got old fogey on me." She teased him playfully before her eyes went back to the plans. "But yea, something like that. If we don't get those generators up soon, OZ might actually find us a threat the way we keep hijacking their power."

Katan snorted. Kids in Gundams had been calling him old for nearly ten years now, and he was almost starting to feel it. Almost. "I never said I wasn't crazy eaither...we'd have to be, siphoning power from our mortal enemy." The former mobile suit pilot thought for a few moments. "Well, we could always try the Union and see if they can get us the parts we need. It might mean we'll have to go into space," Katan gave a smirk to his zero-gee hating girlfriend. "That is, if you're comfortable with that."

Space? She hated space...it wasn't so much the weightlessness that bugged her, it was the lack of directions. "Why don't you go into space and I'll stay here." She grinned a little and walked off to another table to look over another blueprint. She figured he'd drag her anyway, but it was worth a shot.

"Sure," Katan began, "I'll go to space, get out of the Oubliette, see the sights a little bit, and leave you, alone, with nothing to do, underground." He gave a teasing smile to Alessa. "Wow, this plan's sounding better already."
"In all seriousness, though," Katan added, his expression becoming close to what it had been ten years ago--a certain coldness to it that, try as he may, he could never quite rid himself of. "Dealing with a third party's always risky, and you're the one I trust the most to watch my back. Plus, if you come, you get to pick out exactly what you want, rather than let me pick all the parts out for you. And we both know how much you love it when I meddle in your projects." He added with a grin.

She listened to is inital words, he was right the plan was sounding better! Sometime alone wouldn't be so bad. But he was also right about the other thing, not only would it be a good thing to have a partner, but if he brought back the wrong stuff she'd have to hurt him.
"All right I'll go," she grumbled a little then looked towards him. "Swear, I spoil you." That playful smirk came to her lips again; their relationship sure was a strange one.

"I'll get a hold of the guild and let them know we want a meeting. Could you try to find my shotgun while I call?" Katan replied, ignoring her smirk and starting to key up the Junker's Union.
"I'm not your maid." Alessa said dryly.
"Do you want to be the one haggling, then, while I go looking for your trusty pistol?" He countered.
"Don't have to look. Never leaves my side." She added quickly. "But if you're too busy to find your own weapon, I guess I could throw it on the transport, if I happen to see it lying around." Alessa teased.
"You're too kind." Katan sighed, trying to bring up their contact in the Junker's Union.

She sighed inwardly for a moment as she glanced around their 'home'. They managed to find an old hangar, so that was nice. Would make it easier by the time they finally decide to make mobile suits again.
She couldn't believe that he would just lose where his gun was. She barely trusted anyone of the underground and he just left his weapon lying around? It aggrivated her a little, but what was she going to do? She listened to his voice as he tried to get in touch with someone from the guild. They'd be lucky if they could reach their old contact but that was probably worthless.

Tyson was filing Repair orders, when the call came through. He frowned as he checked the code attached to it. When was the last time they'd needed something form MO-V?
He typed in a return code, before activating the link.
"BT here. What can I do for you folks."
He made sure a generic Haro Advertisement played over the link, instead of himself. Considering how old the link was, it could have been tagged. Best to play it safe.

"This is Snake One down in our scenic pit." Katan replied. "We need some basic supplies--including but not limited to a generator to these specs." The former gundam pilot input a scrambled set of generator specs to their Junker's Union contact. "We'll be picking it up ourselves in about twelve or so hours. And I think that Legend might want to sort through a few junk pilesd, we're running a bit low down here. Where can we meet you?"
